Drylining Team Win New Linden Site

Our drylining division have been successful in winning a new site for Linden Homes – Blackawton, nr Totness. A high-end development of larger houses will be a great addition to our order book and continued work for our labour force.

Chiefs Overhaul Sarries

A game delayed by the snow, showed now signs of disappointed, waiting chief’s fan from Saturday. When the game finally got underway on Sunday, it proved to be one of the best encounters of the season. A re-run of last year’s semi final at Sandy Park saw local favourite Phil Dollman cross the line and with the Chiefs a nudge ahead at half time 14-12, more was to come from the home team. Simmond’s boot was on fine form and saw the game end up 24-12. This week’s game was enjoyed by MJS staff, Persimmon South West, Taylor Wimpey Exeter, Halsall and local plumbers Barkwell’s Plumbing and Heating.

 

 

Waldrom Saves the Day

Exeter Chiefs retook the top spot in the Premiership table this weekend with a hard fought and tightly contested win over Northampton. The game looked to be over, but not in the eyes of Thomas Walrdom who in the dieing moments secrued the bonus point win for the home team. Final score was 31-30. This week’s encounter was watched on by MJ Stevens directors and staff, Persimmon Homes Cornwall and Knauf Renders.

Customer Care Team Win Award

Leigh and her team in the customer care department have won the Bovis Homes monthly Customer Care team award.

Alan Knowles Operations Director said ‘A credit for all the hard work you put in. It is always pleasing to receive external recognition for what you do.’

Two New Contracts Won with Persimmon

Persimmon Homes have awarded two new jobs to MJ Stevens; the continuation of a long-standing site for the busniess at Cranbrook as well as an exciting new development in Crediton.

These two contracts install further the confidence Persimmon have in the business to acheive quality plots in a timely manner. This continues a great start to the year for the business with a growing order book and new site starts.

Disappointment for Chiefs

A first non-european defeat at home for the Chiefs all season left the team looking for answers as a strong and determined Warriors team came down to show the Premiership they are not down and out. A low scoring and frustrating game was wathcing by MJ Stevens Directors and Chichester homes this week. The end score was 5-6. Exeter will be looking to bounce back quickly to make amends for the performance

Chiefs Through to Semi Finals

A storming performance from a team of up coming talent and familiar faces, ensured the team did what they needed to do to progress to the next stage of the Anglo-Welsh cup, one that has seen the Exeter boys lift before and reached semis and finals as well. The end score was 43-20. This week’s game was watched on by Members of the inhouse team, site teams, subcontractors and customers. The day had another winner; Aidan our drylining supervisor, guessing the final score to win a team signed ball.

Chiefs Keep Euro Dreams Alive

A slow start saw Exeter edge at the break but a storming second half saw the French giants slayed with the Chiefs pulling out the all important bonus point to see them keep the qualification hopes alive. Quality tries by Olly Woodburn and returning favourite Dave Ewers saw the boys do what was asked of them by DoR Rob Baxter. This was Exeter’s biggest European win. Saturday’s game was enjoyed by our Directors and Guest Linden Homes.

Double Contract Won for BDW

Our decorating and drylining divisions have been awarded the contracts at Minerva in Exeter. This continues our strong relationship with the BDW Exeter office and adds to the current sites we have with them across Devon. David Wilson Homes say ‘Minerva is an exclusive development of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes on the outskirts of Exeter. Minerva is surrounded by plenty of open space, including it’s very own 15 ace country park.’

Exeter Come Out Top on Derby Day

9 Home wins in a row for Premiership table toppers, Exeter, made for a cracking weekend. With this they cement the number one spot in the table. The first half was enough to secure the bonus point and tries by Lees, Steenson, Short and returnee Cowan-Dickie provided the momentum to see the win to the end. This week’s game was enjoyed by Family and Friends of Chichester Developments.
