The highly antisipated first home game of the season was upon us, Saturday 9th September to Premiership returnees London Irish. The game saw MJ Stevens Host Burrington Estate and Taylor Wimpey.
A very enjoyable day was topped off by a win from our Chiefs. 37-7…Well done boys!

MJ Stevens Ltd have bought P Besnard Drylining and Plastering, an extremely well estabished Drylining and Plastering business in North Devon. Besnard’s coming with a strong order book, fantastic reputation and vast labour force. ‘This will further strengthen our position in North Devon and continue to provide a great service to many house builders and contractors in the area, an acquisition I am very proud of’ said Managing Director, Louis Greenaway.
The hand over is fully operational allowing Peter Besnard to get his golf clubs out and start enjoying his retirement. Jason the supervisor for the area joins MJ Stevens and takes over the exisiting sites in the area. Currently working for Bovis, Barratt, Chichester, Elan, Halsall, Pearce and Wain amongst many others in the area.
We look forward to continue the growth in the area and make further additions to our other trades in North Devon.

2017 brings more expanstion for MJ Stevens, winning a second contract in the ever-popular town of Ottery St Mary, this time it is with Halsall. We are delighted to win our third site with Halsall, currently working at Roundswell – Barnstaple and Bovey Tracey.
Halsall are making big inroads in the South West and MJ Stevens are delighted to be partnering them on sites in the area.
MJ Stevens have just been awarded and Multi-trade, Multi-site contract from Persimmon Homes at the ever-growing and popular Cranbrook development and a brand new site at Ivybridge. If you are interested on working on these sites with us please fill out your details on the contact us page.
MJ Stevens are recruiting a new Customer Care Administrator. The role will involve speaking with our clients, booking in repair and maintenace work with customers in new-build homes and arranging the diary’s of our operatives. This will require excellent organisational skills, profession telephone and email manner including a competant use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

On a cold November evening Halsall took on MJ Stevens at Go Karing at Exeter’s Raceworld, A great evening was had by all who attended.

On Friday 7th October we celebrated our 40th Year in Business. We held the celebration at Sandy Park, home of the Exeter Chiefs. The event was attended by over 200 staff, colleagues, clients, suppliers and friends of the business.
It was announced during the evening Mike Stevens would be retiring. Louis Greenaway, former Commercial Manager, will become the new Managing Director having bought the business in a MBO.
Both Mike and Louis talked fondly of the past 40 years and looked forward to the years to come. Both thanked staff, clients and suppliers for the support given to the business.
