With further sites added to our orderbook, we are looking for quality decorators and ceramic tilers. We are offering both employed and self employed positions. Our current workload allows us to provide long continued new build site work at competitive rates. We have sites across the South West in Barnstaple, Somerset, Exeter and Cornwall.

This year we are taking on 10 new apprentices/trainees and currently 5 positions have already been filled. We are now looking to fill the last 5 place for the second half of the year. This is open to all trades we offer but ideally we are looking for drylining boarders. Age is not a limiting factor and provide full on site training, CSCS Card and PPE.

This week we have been awarded the ceramic tiling contract for Priory Green in Chilton Polden. We are already undertaking the drylining and decorating services here and are delighted to be the site’s wall tiler too. This month we start on a new project with Elan Homes in Glastonbury. a A new development of 2 and three bedroom homes called Avalon. Avalon is situated in the historic town of Glastonbury famous for its Tor and Abbey Ruins and 6 miles from the Cathedral City of Wells. The development is approximately a mile from the town centre with its good range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, public houses, primary schools and health centres. The thriving centre of Street is 2.5 miles and offers more comprehensive facilities including Strode College, Strode Theatre, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the complex of shopping outlets in Clarks Village.

2021 marks the company’s 45th year trading, we have moved from one man in a van to a multi-million pound turnover business. Despite the pandemic and extra cautious measures we had to take the business has grown over the past 12 months both financially and in terms of staff. We have added new apprentices, site staff and management to the company in the last 9 months which has given us the confidence to grow and take on more new exciting work.

We have also seen the company’s new order book grow to a new record in the 45 years we have been operating. “It’s fantastic and true recognition of the work everyone puts in to the company everyday, from the apprentices to the management team” Louis explains, “The rebrand to MJS Group has proven to be a huge success with our customers, staff and suppliers going beyond what the company did before, a new management team which has both youthfulness and experience allowing us to confidently build into the future with knowledge the core team is there for both ourselves and our customer base. We are continuing to trade inline with the government rules during lockdown 3. Our offices remain open but limited personnel and majority working from home. Our site teams remain out and about keeping a safe distance whilst following the site protocols. Please continue to contact as you usually would and you will be redirected if needed.
