Our decorating & tiling team have been awarded the two new sites for Countryside in Bridgwater and Highbridge. A key location for us, which we have held a presence over over 15 years, using time served, quality, local labour.

We are very much looking forward to adding these two sites to our existing work with the wider Vistry Group.

Fantastic achievement to start the week. Tilia Homes The Oaks in Woolwell, Plymouth has been presented with a SHE Gold Award, having had ZERO riddor occurrences in 12 months. Well done to our Drylining, Painting and Tiling team on this project and all the other contractors on site.

A new month means more new sites starting for us, We have new drylining contracts across Somerset and Devon alongside new painting and tiling contracts in both North and South Devon as well as Somerset. These contracts have been awarded to us by Local, Regional and National developers. The size of the site varies from 25-220 plots on each, giving us long lines of work, across a large patch, for a variety of developers. This enables us to provide continuity to our labour force and achieve a competitive price for our customer base.

Today we hosted our annual Company Conference and Health & Safety Day, held at Future Skills Centre Exeter. Our operatives attended, MJS Group management, clients and guests. Supported by British Gypsum, SSG Training and Consultancy Ltd, Exeter College and Raceworld Ltd. The day gave an insight into future work, new sites, support on training, CSCS card renewal, face-fit testing, apprenticeships and new product introduction. It also gave everyone in attendance the chance to book some discounted Karting. Thank you to everyone in attendance and the support from our customers for allowing our operatives time away from site to refresh and update on our latest Health & Safety policy.

The carpentry division continues to go from strength to strength this year with another prime site added to the company books. Edenstone are a new company to the area adding high quality homes to Devon’s landscape. We are delighted to announce the 2022 Apprentice of the Year is Harriett. Harriett joined us on our tiling scheme where she has learn the use of tile cutters, electric cutting, sticking and grouting. This has been done across a vast arrange of tile types and styles. Harriett has won this prize of £100 shopping voucher. We are thrilled with the progress she has made and continues to make each week. She has proven to be reliable and a joy to work with.
