MJ Stevens have been hand selected for the latest development by premium house builder, Burrington Estates. The development presents 85 high quality and distinctive 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes in the village of Trispen. An idyllic and well served village, Trispen is ideally located just 5 miles directly out of Truro and offers easy, direct access to the A30. Truro, Cornwall’s only city is vibrant and thriving, offering fantastic leisure attractions, shopping and restaurants, and is Cornwall’s major employment hub. This further extends our working peramiters with the ever growing tiling division and our newly formed partnership with Burrington.

Exeter Chiefs extended the home winning form against Northampton Saints in the Anglo – Welsh Cup. A strong first half performance saw the Chiefs take a comfortable lead which they were able to hold onto in the second half. This cup provides excellent opportunity for Chief stars of the future with Joe Simonds performing well along side other local Devon players. The final score was 43-28. This week we were joined by the commercial team from Taylor Wimpey Exeter, hosted by all of our DIrectors along side surveyor Dan.

MJS were proud to help BDW Exeter raise £7,000.00 for the Exeter Foundation. Our Managing Director Louis, recieved a kind and pleasant letter from Local MD, Paul Moran.

Spitfire Bespoke Homes were so pleased with the high quality tiling on the first phase of the exciting, designer development that we have been awarded the next phase. We are delighted to continue our relationship with Spitfire and look forward to other developments in the future.

Exeter Chiefs made the perfect start to the Champions Cup, Europe’s senior rugby competition with a hard fought win over Glasgow. The opening 10 mintues were not that written in the script and put Exeter 10 points down, the players regrouped and battled on with tries of Sam Simonds on his Euro Debut and the extras added by Gareth Steenson. The game finished 24-15. The game was enjoyed by MJ Stevens Staff and Barratt David Wilson Exeter.

October starts with a new site for the company at Sherbrone for Persimmon Homes. With over 20 houses already sold this is sure to be a high flying site and continued work for our labourforce. MJ Stevens will be undertaking the Drylining, Painting and cermaic wall tiling on this development, a great start to the month.

Exeter continued the home winning streak this weekend, in what was a repeat of the Premiership Final last season. An action packed game saw two Olly Woodburn trys and Shaun Malton scoring his first Premiership Try. The game was watched by guests from McCarthy and Stone, CCF as well and MJ Stevens’ own Staff Operations Director Alan, Managing Director Louis, Longest serving employee Mark and his son Charlie, our newest apprentice.

Exeter Chiefs 31 – 17 Wasps

We have been awarded a multi-trade contract across two sites for Persimmon Homes. Carpentry, Drylining and Painting contracts have been won in Plymouth at Saltram Meadows and Palmerston Heights. This news provides continued work for our labour force and allows us to grow further in the area. Being one of the largest multi-trade contractors in Plymouth, this allows us to take on both qualified and apprentice labour in and around the area.

The highly antisipated first home game of the season was upon us, Saturday 9th September to Premiership returnees London Irish. The game saw MJ Stevens Host Burrington Estate and Taylor Wimpey.

A very enjoyable day was topped off by a win from our Chiefs. 37-7…Well done boys!
